I am so damn proud to be from the south.
We've got all the good shit down here:
Good music
Beautiful thick accents
Friendly people
Colorful cities
Sticky Weather
Hot nights
Trustworthy neighbors
Guns
Lynard Skynard *see good music*
and Lousiana.
Lousiana says it all.
"I love the South."
I use to despise being from the south and be even slighty embarassed about it. But not anymore. I've realized over the past couple of weeks, that I love everything about the south. My friend Brandi was recently in London and they kept calling her a Yank. That offended me...no offense to true born yankees of course, but I'm not a "yank" nor am I from the North. I was born in Ft.Smith, Arkansas and my grandmother (mom's mom) is a full blood Cajun from New Orleans. My other grandparents are all from Biloxi, MS born and raised.
I love being from the South.
Lovelovelove.

Do you remember it? I've never been there, but I've heard it's an awesome town. I want to go one day.

I'm with you, girl.
I can hide my Southern accent when necessary, as I know you can, but when the situation warrants, my Southern accent would do Scarlett O' Hara proud!
There isn't a better way to spend a summer evening than sitting on the front porch swing watching lightning bugs as the stars come out.
I'm all about the South!

I knoww! I love that just sitting outside with it's cooling down from a hot sticky day into a hot sticky night, haha...just watching nature unfold. Ohhh jeeez, I do love it.
They can't have that jazz in New York City, now, can they?
They even got their jazz from us! haha.
